Job Description – Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, payroll processing, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have basic practical knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience with Tally/ERP and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
• Handle purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliation.
• Assist in monthly payroll processing, including salary calculations and deductions.
• Support PF, ESIC, Professional Tax and TDS activities.
• Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Assist with GST reconciliation and invoice verification.
• Maintain employee payroll and statutory records.
• Assist senior accountants during monthly closing and audits.
• Prepare basic MIS reports and accounting statements.
• Ensure proper documentation of invoices, bills, receipts, and payment records.
• Coordinate with vendors, employees, and internal teams for accounting-related queries.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of GST & TDS
• Basic understanding of Payroll
• Knowledge of PF, ESIC & Professional Tax
• Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Bank Reconciliation & Ledger Management
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification
