Accountant

Role Description This is a part-time, remote Accountant role responsible for supporting day-to-day financial and accounting operations. The Accountant will record and reconcile financial transactions, maintain accurate ledgers, and prepare basic financial reports and summaries. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with expense tracking and budgeting. The role will also involve supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide clear financial information.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, cloud-based accounting tools).
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to reconcile complex accounts.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a remote, part-time setting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining financial information.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment in financial matters.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (degree, diploma, or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles; experience with remote work is an advantage.
