Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor/customer ledgers and outstanding follow-ups.
• Perform regular bank, customer, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
• Handle GST, TDS, TCS, e-invoicing, e-way bills, and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with external auditors, statutory auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for audits and tax assessments.
• Assist in budgeting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure financial records are audit-ready.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Support management with accurate financial information and reports for decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP and MS Excel.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, TCS, and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in handling audits and coordination with consultants.
• Experience in a manufacturing/trading company will be preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic financial analysis.
