Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and support project financial management within a construction/contracting company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare and maintain accurate invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and financial records.
• Monitor project-wise costs, expenses, budgets and profitability.
• Handle supplier and subcontractor invoices, payments, reconciliations and retention amounts.
• Prepare client invoices, progress billing and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and payment schedules.
• Assist with monthly financial statements, management reports and budget variance analysis.
• Maintain proper records of LPOs, contracts, invoices, payment certificates and project documents.
• Handle VAT records and support UAE VAT filing and compliance.
• Assist with payroll, employee settlements, leave salary and other accounting-related matters.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, Procurement, suppliers, clients, banks and auditors.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure proper financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and UAE financial regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a UAE construction/contracting company.
• Strong knowledge of construction/project accounting and cost control.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• UAE construction/contracting experience is preferred.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
