Accountant

About the role

EMVertex Credit is seeking a meticulous and dependable Accountant to oversee the day-to-day finance function and support sound business decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and relevant schedules accurately and on time
• Process payments, receipts, invoices, expense claims and journal entries
• Reconcile daily loan disbursements, collections, repayments and bank transactions
• Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic cash-flow reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Ensure proper documentation, filing and maintenance of accounting records
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, vendors and relevant stakeholders
• Assist with annual audit, tax matters and regulatory reporting requirements
• Review existing finance processes and recommend improvements in accuracy, efficiency and internal controls

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience; experience handling full sets of accounts is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwares
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality
• Prior experience in the financial-services, lending or regulated industry will be an advantage, but is not essential
