Accountant

About the role

A detail-oriented and organized Accountant role involving maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring project expenses, and supporting the overall accounting process. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or individuals with some relevant experience who are eager to grow their career in accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the accuracy of project invoices by cross-referencing delivery receipts, purchase orders, and other documents
• Review requests for payment for suppliers and subcontractors, and submit them to the Project Accounting Assistant Manager for final approval
• Check project revolving funds and petty cash replenishments, ensuring accuracy and correctness of disbursements
• Encode check vouchers, journal vouchers, and credit memos accurately in the accounting system
• Record proper and complete accrual for project expenses, whether paid or unpaid, at the end of the reporting period
• Maintain proper and organized filing of all project accounting documents
• Ensure manual books of accounts for projects are updated
• Review project budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures
• Report remaining funds available for each project's budget to the Senior Accountant
• Provide timely financial reports and budget forecasts to Senior Accountant, Project Managers, and Project-in-Charge
