Accountant

Junior Accountant

Industry: Manufacturing and supply of ceramic tiles, porcelain products, and sanitary ware for residential and commercial construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
• Assist in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Process invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and payment transactions.
• Assist with monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns and maintaining VAT records.
• Support Corporate Tax compliance and preparation of required documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.
• Maintain accounting records using Zoho Books or related accounting software.
• Assist with payroll-related reports and salary calculations when required.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support external auditors by preparing financial documents and records as required.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with UAE regulations and company policies.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Key Skills / Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience; experience in the UAE is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is required.
• Basic to good knowledge of UAE VAT filing and compliance.
• Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax is an advantage.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, construction, building materials, or a related industry is an advantage.
