Accountant

About the role

The Accountant provides the essential back-office support that keeps the project's liquidity and legal compliance intact. While the Cost Control team looks at the "Engineering Budget," this role manages the actual cash flow, payroll, and corporate financial reporting. To manage all financial transactions, bookkeeping, and cash flow requirements for the project. This role ensures that all expenditures are documented, taxes are correctly filed, and that the project remains in good financial standing with suppliers, employees, and government authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices from subcontractors and material suppliers and ensure timely billing to the client based on the progress certificates provided by the Project Manager
• Monitor daily cash balances and coordinate with the head office to ensure sufficient funds are available for site operations
• Manage the monthly salary payments for the project staff and site laborers, ensuring correct deductions for social security and income tax
• Supervise the Project Secretary in managing the site office petty cash for small daily expenses
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L) reports for the project, and assist the Cost Control team in reconciling actual spend against the budget
• Ensure all Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and other local taxes are accurately calculated and filed according to Thai law
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents for internal and external audits

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or real estate industry
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of Thai tax regulations (VAT, WHT) and statutory filing requirements
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• A TOEIC score of 650 or above will be considered a special advantage
