Accountant

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations for BDP.
• Maintain and manage accounts on Zoho Books.
• Handle invoicing, receipts, payments, expenses, vendor bills and bank reconciliations.
• Track accounts receivable/payable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain project-wise income, expenses, advances and profitability.
• Prepare and monitor weekly/monthly cash-flow statements.
• Manage financial documentation including POs, work orders, invoices and vendor records.
• Track additional works, variations and project settlements.
• Prepare MIS reports, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis for management.
• Support the founders in setting and monitoring financial targets and business performance.
• Coordinate with CA/consultants for GST, TDS, taxation and statutory compliance.
• Identify discrepancies, cash-flow concerns and opportunities for better cost control.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Experience in Accounts / Finance / Commercial Management.
• Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books is essential.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, invoicing, reconciliations and accounting principles.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Experience in a project-based business, interiors, construction, architecture or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Comfortable with project costing, cash-flow management and financial analysis.
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented with a high level of ownership.
• Ability to work directly with founders and independently manage the accounts function.
• Looking for someone interested in growing with BDP and eventually taking greater responsibility for the finance function.
