Job summary

The Accountant will play a key role in the Finance and Accounts department in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely reconciliations, and compliance with company policies.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Posting daily transactions into accounting software.
• Reconcile bank statements and petty cash accounts.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support in preparing tax returns, statutory filings, and compliance documentation.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Monitor expenses and prepare expense reports.
• Payroll processing and staff reimbursements.
• Liaise with external auditors when required.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and Accountant.

Requirements:

• A minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or similar).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and a high level of professionalism.
• Proximity to Ojodu Berger is an added advantage.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills

Remuneration: NGN 250,000 to 300,000 Monthly (based on experience)
