Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our team at BICC in Iloilo City. You will keep our books complete and current, from the daily receivable and payable records through the monthly close to the tax returns we file on schedule.

What you'll be doing

• Review daily receivable and payable records and keep the ledger accurate
• Reconcile bank accounts and close the books every month
• Prepare and file tax returns and payments on schedule
• Prepare financial statements and the cash flow forecast
• Keep project retention and receivable schedules current
• Support the yearly external audit and audit fund custodians

What we're looking for

• Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred but not required.
• At least 3 years experience as an accountant handling month end closing and BIR tax filings, preferably in the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of BIR tax return preparation, filing, and payment procedures for a corporation.
• Experience with accounting software used as the daily system of record.
