Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our growing cafe-restaurant located in a scenic setting overlooking Tanay. The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. This role is essential in supporting the financial health and sustainability of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions including sales, expenses, and journal entries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely billing, collections, and payments
• Reconcile discrepancies and resolve payment issues
• Prepare and file tax returns (BIR, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and deadlines
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, CPA
• At least 3-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or food & beverage
• Knowledge of Philippine tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
• Willing to work in Tanay Rizal
