Accountant

We are newly established manufacturing company seeking an experienced , hands-on , and results-driven Accountant to join our Finance Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, proactive, adaptable, and enjoys working in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities;

1. Lead the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting functions, handle full set accounts for malaysia entity , including AR, AP , GL
2. Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with  IFRS /MFRS , statutory requirements and company policies.
3. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing. Prepare accurate monthly,and annual financial statements and management reports .
4. Review inventory control ,  Oversee manufacturing costing  &  and production cost analysis.
5. Analyse manufacturing variances and recommend cost optimisation initiatives ;
6. Support budget preparation and financial forecasting , manage working capital effectively.
7. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, legal advisors, and government authorities.
8. Safeguard company assets through effective internal controls.
9. Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal control policies and financial procedures.
10. Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree or  Professional Qualification in Accounting  such as ACCA, CA(M), or MIA is highly preferred.
2. Minimum  5 years working experience in finance and accounting , preferably including  3 years' full set accounting  in the manufacturing industry.
   3.Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, financial reporting standards, statutory compliance, and corporate taxation.
3. Solid understanding of manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, treasury management, and cash flow management.
4. Meticulous , hands-on  with  high level of integrity, accountability
5. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
7. Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other professional service providers.
