Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, transactions, reporting, and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial documentation, monitor income and expenses, prepare reports, and support management in making sound financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documents.
• Record daily financial transactions, receipts, payments, invoices, and expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
• Prepare budgets, cash-flow reports, and financial forecasts when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with tax preparation, audits, and other statutory financial requirements.
• Identify financial discrepancies and investigate unusual transactions.
• Maintain proper filing and confidentiality of financial records.
• Provide management with accurate financial information and accounting advice.
• Support the Finance Manager or management team with financial analysis and decision-making.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
