Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong hands-on experience in Zoho Books to own end-to-end accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, while improving processes and supporting business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in Zoho Books: journals, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, accruals, and month/year-end close.

Handle invoicing (including multi-currency if needed), vendor bills, expenses, credit notes, and payment tracking.

Maintain inventory accounting and reconcile stock values; work with Zoho Inventory or similar integrations where applicable.

Prepare and file statutory returns (e.g., GST, TDS) and support audits with accurate reports and working papers.

Build and maintain Zoho workflows, templates, and custom reports; train and guide junior staff on Zoho usage.

Coordinate with the Zoho support/implementation team for customizations, integrations (CRM, Inventory, Payroll, payment gateways, bank feeds), and process improvements.

Produce management reports, dashboards, and insights (cash flow, margins, aging, cost analysis) to support procurement and operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent.

5+ years of core accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years specifically in Zoho Books.

Expert-level Zoho Books skills: GL, AP/AR, bank rec, inventory, GST/TDS filings, reporting, and automation/workflows.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and local compliance (e.g., Indian GAAP, GST, TDS; adapt to your country’s rules).

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for analysis, reconciliations, and reporting (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).

Preferred/Nice-to-Have

Experience with Zoho Inventory, Zoho Payroll, Zoho Expense, Zoho Analytics, and API/Zapier-style integrations.

Background in trading, distribution, manufacturing, import/export, or e‑commerce.

Exposure to data migration from Tally/QuickBooks/Excel into Zoho Books.

Soft Skills & Work Style

High accuracy and audit-ready discipline (daily/weekly updates, clean reconciliations).

Ability to create SOPs, checklists, and training materials for the finance team.

Strong communication to work with procurement, sales, and external auditors/consultants.
