Job Summary

CONIN International Consultants is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring transactions, and supporting the company's financial operations in accordance with UAE accounting practices and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial documentation.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of all banking transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain proper records of company expenses, purchases, petty cash, and other financial transactions.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Assist with payroll processing and maintain related financial records.
• Support VAT preparation, filing, and compliance in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, banks, and other stakeholders regarding accounting and payment-related matters.
• Monitor cash flow and assist management with financial information when required.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records for audit and management purposes.
• Assist external auditors and provide required financial documents and information.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial transactions and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting procedures, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations.
• Experience in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.
