Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST, TDS, and financial reporting, along with strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely updating of financial records.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, bills, and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank, cash, vendor, and customer reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Handle GST calculations, reconciliations, returns, and related compliance requirements.
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filing.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor company expenses and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions when required.
• Assist in payroll-related accounting, including salary entries, deductions, and statutory payments.
• Maintain proper records of statutory payments and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Support monthly closing and financial reconciliation activities.
• Assist in preparation of budgets, cash-flow statements, and financial projections.
• Track outstanding receivables and payables and follow up with concerned teams.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial and accounting records.
• Assist management with financial analysis and accounting-related reports.
• Stay updated with changes in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting and finance operations.
• Strong knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger management, accounts payable, and receivables.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting will be an added advantage.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in a similar Accountant / Accounts Executive role.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime, Excel, and accounting/ERP software.
• Knowledge of GST portal and other government compliance portals.
• Understanding of basic financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting activities.
• Experience in handling audits and coordinating with external accountants/tax consultants.
• Ability to work under deadlines and maintain accurate financial records.
