Accountant

Role Summary

This role supports day-to-day accounting operations within a dynamic European financial team. Working alongside international colleagues, you will manage core accounting tasks, process transactions, and interact with internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including overhead invoices, bank statement bookings, and general cost tracking.
• Payments & Processing: Handle daily operational payments and incoming mail processing.
• Compliance & Reporting: Prepare VAT declarations and financial reports in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a key contact for suppliers, customers, and internal departments to build strong relationships and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Administration & Archiving: Maintain accurate documentation, filing, and administrative records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education & Background: Sound understanding of core accounting principles, basic tax procedures, and general business practices.
• Software & Tools: Proficiency with accounting software/ERPs (e.g. Oracle or similar systems) and advanced Excel skills.
• Languages: Fluent in both Dutch and English (oral and written).
