Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. Duties

• Prepare and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as Peachtree.
• Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.
• Perform financial data entry, bookkeeping, and data analysis using spreadsheets and accounting systems to support budgeting and financial planning.
• Support governmental and non-profit accounting requirements by preparing reports, managing grant-related transactions, and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Experience

• Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
• Experience working with multiple accounting software platforms including Peachtree.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices or corporate accounting environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of technical accounting standards and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and general ledger oversight.
• Strong numeracy skills combined with proficiency in Excel data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high attention to detail.
