Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify asset, liability, and equity account balances.
• Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, and Paychex for data entry and reporting purposes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards.
• Assist with payroll management using systems like ADP or UltiPro while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform detailed Excel data analysis for budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Support internal audits by preparing documentation related to account analysis and transaction verification.
• Handle customer service inquiries related to billing or account discrepancies professionally and efficiently.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities by preparing accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
• Experience with financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as GAAP and SOX is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including spreadsheets analysis and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while demonstrating excellent numeracy skills.
• Strong attention to detail combined with effective organizational skills for balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting customer service needs.

Pay: $73,093.39 - $88,026.45 per year
