Accountant

Stoetbul Kaapstad is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the accounting function and contribute to efficient financial and stock management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Accounting Function, including:

Debtors:
Invoicing and statement preparation
Following up on outstanding payments
Allocations and account reconciliations

Creditors:
Processing supplier invoices
Preparing and managing payments
Supplier reconciliations

Bank & Cash:
Daily bank processing
Bank reconciliations
Petty cash management

General Ledger:
Journal entries and month-end processing
Maintaining accurate financial records
Balance sheet reconciliations

Assets:
Maintaining fixed asset register
Processing depreciation
Tracking asset acquisitions and disposals

Stock Control:
Stock capturing and adjustments
Stock reconciliations
Investigating variances

Additional Responsibilities:

Stock management and reporting
Cost accounting and detailed costings
Assisting with budgeting and financial reporting
Supporting audits and ensuring compliance

Requirements:

Relevant accounting qualification
Proven experience handling full accounting function in the restaurant industry
Experience with Xero will be advantageous
Experience with Digitot will be advantageous
Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Must have own reliable transport

Working Hours: 08h00 – 17h00
Salary: Depending on experience

Pay: R20 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
