Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Your expertise will help streamline accounting processes, facilitate audits, and provide valuable insights through data analysis. Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday.
• Conduct journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures efficiently.
• Handle payroll management tasks utilizing systems like ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Assist with internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and support audit preparations.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and data entry activities to facilitate strategic decision-making.

Skills

• Strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting practices, and technical accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar systems.
• Experience with payroll systems including ADP or UltiPro is highly desirable.
• Excellent skills in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets management, and accounting system navigation.
• Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable management and bookkeeping best practices.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong numeracy skills coupled with attention to detail for account analysis and reconciliation tasks.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
