Job summary

The Accountant will support the daily financial operations, manage cash flow entries, and maintain accurate inventory records for our solar energy business. This role focuses on bookkeeping, invoice processing, and ensuring smooth administrative financial workflows.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions and post journal entries in the accounting system.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, track customer payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Inventory Tracking: Assist in monitoring stock levels of solar panels, inverters, and components to match physical counts with system records.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Tax Documentation: Prepare schedules for withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) filings.
• Administrative Support: Assist the Senior Accountant with month-end closing procedures and payroll preparation.

Requirements:

• OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
• Basic proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Excel) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, honesty, and ability to meet deadlines.
