Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team at The Papas Group in an office-based role. The brands we operate include Papa’s Fish & Chips, Wendys and Wetherspoons. This is a pivotal role for a qualified professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident managing complex financial processes and leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare interim and final statutory accounts.
• Produce interim management accounts for directors and banking partners.
• Supervise and support junior accounts staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage audit processes, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in preparing statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Strong understanding of audit procedures and compliance requirements.
• Experience in team leadership or supervision within a finance function.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly.
• Proficiency in software including NetSuite, Sage & QuickBooks and all Microsoft Office.

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
