Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kathmandu. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as supporting audits and providing financial insights to management.

The Accountant will collaborate with project and operations teams to align financial processes with the company’s consulting activities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and familiarity with ERP or finance systems
• Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data for decision-making
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA) is an advantage
• Prior experience in an IT, consulting, or professional services firm is beneficial
