Who are we?

ALBA originates in Germany 50 years ago and aspires to turn the dream of a world without waste into reality. It has accumulated more than 20 years of recycling experiences in Asia. Since its entrance to Hong Kong over a decade ago, ALBA HK has been fostering a circular economy in the recycling industry and encouraging community participation in sustainability efforts.

In 2015, ALBA’s joint venture with IWS was appointed by the HKSAR Government to operate an integrated waste management facility for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Hong Kong. In 2023, ALBA Circular Economy Solutions Limited was awarded the Pilot Scheme on Application of Reverse Vending Machines - Stage 3, and rolled out 120 RVMs across key locations in Hong Kong. They have subsequently be awarded to operate Stage 4 of the same program in 2026 and continue to grow our collection network in the territory.

Key Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an Accountant to support our Finance team’s operation. Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working with stakeholders from the Sales and Operation teams, the Accountant will be responsible for the following:

·         Handle daily accounting operations, including sales invoices, packing lists, receipt vouchers, bank balance.

·         Monitor Accounts Receivable balances and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.

·         Support system updates and perform UAT.

·         Handle customer enquiries regarding invoices, billing disputes, and payment matters.

·         Assist in month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations and revenue reporting.

·         Support annual audits by providing schedules and supporting documents.

·          Participate in ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·       Higher diploma in accounting or related discipline.

·       Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, with solid exposure to Accounts Receivable.

·       Experience in the shipping, logistics, transportation or supply chain industry is highly preferred.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

·       Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

·       Immediate availability is preferred
