What You'll Do

As our accountant, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a broad range of accounting functions, including:

• Accounting & Financial Management
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
• Make deposits and monitor cash flow
• Review account balances and investigate discrepancies

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and reports for annual audits
• Assist with tax-related filings, including sales and use tax reporting, when applicable
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and internal controls
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Allocate costs to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers

Process Improvement

• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and workflows
• Help implement best practices to increase accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
• Assist with system upgrades, process documentation, and training initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For, Required Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience performing reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team
• Cost accounting experience
• Experience in service-related operations

Pay: $59,436.22 - $71,579.10 per year
