Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant for this key role within a well-established chartered accountancy practice

This is a full time role woking 37.5 hours a week.

The role

• Prepare and review annual financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and farming entities.
• Prepare and review income tax returns, GST returns, and other compliance requirements
• Identify and resolve technical accounting and taxation issues
• Ensure all work meets professional standards and firm quality requirements
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and business planning

About you

• You are an experienced accountant with several years’ public practice experience
• You hold a professional Accounting qualification
• You hold a Bachelor's degree
• You have strong technical knowledge across NZ tax, annual accounts preparation, trusts, companies and SME client work
