ACCOUNTANT

Adron Homes & Properties Limited is seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing and verifying financial transactions, preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, supporting financial controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare and review journals, ledgers, vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Verify invoices, bills, payment requests, and supporting financial documentation.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, schedules, and management accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with approved budgets and financial procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide required documentation during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in monitoring and strengthening internal financial controls.
• Review financial transactions to identify discrepancies, errors, or irregularities and recommend appropriate corrections.
• Support the Finance Manager and management with financial information and analysis when required.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably within real estate, construction, property development, or a related industry.
• Professional accounting qualification or progress toward ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good knowledge of applicable tax and statutory requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
