Accountant

Job Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting entries and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Manage purchase and sales entries related to gold jewellery.
• Maintain records of gold, silver, jewellery stock and transactions.
• Handle cash, bank, receipts, payments and petty cash entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ledger balances regularly.
• Prepare and verify invoices, vouchers, debit notes and credit notes.
• Maintain party/customer and supplier ledgers and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Handle TDS, GST and other statutory accounting requirements.
• Coordinate with the audit and accounts team for monthly and yearly closing.
• Verify jewellery-related transactions, including weight, purity, wastage, making charges and other applicable charges.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Support management with financial reports and account-related information.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–5 years
• B.Com / M.Com or relevant qualification.
• Strong knowledge of day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience in Tally and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, PT and other statutory compliances.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, vendor/customer reconciliation, AP & AR.
• Ability to prepare MIS reports, ledgers and financial statements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors and consultants.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and numerical skills.
• Ability to independently manage accounting activities and meet deadlines.
• Work Location: Bengaluru
• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (6 days)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
