Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including AP, AR, bank and ledger reconciliations
• Handle month-end and year-end closing and prepare financial statements
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors
• Follow up with branches to make sure reports, reconciliations and statutory filings are submitted accurately and on time
• Check that branches follow company policies, procedures and internal controls
• Track pending compliance items across branches and escalate delays or issues
• Visit branches periodically to review records and verify compliance
• Report findings and recommendations to management
• Support management with financial reports and ad-hoc analysis

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of accounting experience, including audit or multi-branch exposure
• Good knowledge of IFRS and internal controls
• Hands-on experience with Tally
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reporting)
• Strong follow-up, communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel to branches (around 10% of the time)
