JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT

Position: Accountant
Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Experience: Minimum 4 years of UAE accounting experience
Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is required.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accountant with a minimum of 4 years of UAE accounting experience, including strong knowledge of VAT, auditing, financial reporting, and general accounting operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with UAE VAT regulations, audit preparation, accounting reconciliations, and day-to-day financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting reports.
• Handle VAT calculations, VAT returns, VAT reconciliations, and VAT documentation in accordance with UAE requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors and prepare necessary documents, schedules, and supporting records for internal and external audits.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending payments.
• Verify invoices, expenses, purchase documents, and supporting records.
• Ensure proper accounting documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with year-end closing and audit requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
• Maintain proper filing of financial and VAT-related documents.
• Coordinate with management, finance teams, suppliers, customers, and auditors when required.
• Support management with financial information, reports, and analysis as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong practical knowledge of UAE VAT and VAT filing procedures.
• Experience in audit coordination and audit preparation is required.
• Good knowledge of UAE accounting practices and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Good understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, AP, AR, and financial statements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good English communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in UAE VAT, audit, accounting reconciliation, financial reporting, and ERP/accounting systems will be preferred.

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
