Accountant

About the role

Evergreen Max Cash Capital Berhad (EMCC) is a Bursa Malaysia-listed group with a growing business network of more than 100 branches nationwide. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team at our Kuala Lumpur headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and review full set of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports accurately and within reporting deadlines.
• Handle multiple companies/entities, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Prepare audit, tax and statutory schedules and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and relevant professional parties.
• Ensure proper accounting records, documentation and compliance with internal controls.
• Review accounting transactions and assist in improving accounting procedures and reporting processes.
• Support management on financial reporting and other finance-related matters.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Must possess a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent.
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Must have strong hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Familiarity with AutoCount or other accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple companies/accounts within tight deadlines.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, responsible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
