Accountant

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and finance-savvy Accountant to join our team. This role bridges core financial accounting with operational sales analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, tracking utility and operational budgets, and analyzing multi-outlet sales and remittance control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily financial transactions, ledger entries, and general bookkeeping across all company channels and outlets.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for executive review.
• Perform routine bank reconciliations, vendor payment verifications, and petty cash audits.
• Monitor operational expenditure and track utility budget compliance (fuel, energy, equipment maintenance, and logistics).
• Ensure statutory compliance, including tax filings (PAYE, VAT, WHT) and regulatory requirements.
• Track, aggregate, and analyze daily sales data across all retail/branch outlets and sales channels.
• Perform margin, volume, and product mix profitability analyses to identify top-performing products and underperforming outlets.
• Compare sales forecasts against actual revenue performance, highlighting variances and root causes to management.
• Reconcile daily point-of-sale (POS) records, bank deposits, and cash collections against verified inventory usage.
• Generate weekly commercial sales performance dashboards and actionable revenue growth insights for the management team.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION

• B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• ICAN, ACCA, or active progress toward professional certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of combined experience in accounting, financial analysis, or sales data analytics (experience in retail, QSR, FMCG, or multi-branch operations preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦150,000.00 per month
