Accountant

About the role

The Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports. This role supports the month-end closing process, reconciles accounts, ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and provides guidance to the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all accounting transactions accurately and on time.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage overseas Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements using Group Consolidation Software (HFM).
• Assist in preparing profit and loss (P&L) estimates and financial reports.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors during audits.
• Support inventory reconciliation and participate in annual stock counts.
• Monitor and manage customer credit, including financial analysis and debt collection.
• Ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor and validate daily and monthly cash flow.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5–6 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and internal controls.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
• Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work overtime when required to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
