Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join Shreeji Diamond Co., Ltd. in our Bang Rak Bangkok office on a full-time basis. This role is fundamental to our financial operations, ensuring accurate recording, analysis and reporting of our financial transactions. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting informed business decision-making across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and payments
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
• Preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Reconciling bank statements and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assisting with tax compliance and preparation of tax documentation
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for audit purposes
• Collaborating with other team members and departments to resolve financial and accounting queries

What we're looking for

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or similar)
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within a commercial or manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify errors
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards and regulations
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Thai accounting regulations and tax requirements is advantageous
