About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will take ownership of monthly payroll and statutory tax compliance, the compilation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS), and the preparation of working papers for compilation and independent review engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process monthly payroll utilizing Pastel Payroll and manage the accurate submission of EMP501 reconciliations to SARS.
• Calculate, prepare, and submit VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax returns via SARS eFiling.
• Manage statutory compliance by submitting monthly UIF declarations on U-Filing and Workman's Compensation (COIDA) returns.
• Compile Annual Financial Statements and prepare comprehensive working paper files for both compilation and independent review engagements.
• Accurately calculate and facilitate applications for Tax Directives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Completed Accounting Degree.
• General Experience: 2–3 years of practical experience within an accounting or firm environment.
• CaseWare: Minimum of 2 years of active CaseWare experience (Non-negotiable).
• Tax Systems: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience navigating SARS eFiling.
• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero and Pastel/Pastel Payroll.
