Responsibilities

• Manage and perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections while maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Conduct account reconciliation activities using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures to support audit readiness.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards.
• Support payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian; verify payroll data accuracy and process adjustments as needed.
• Assists with internal controls related to governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices when applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or equivalent; experience with Workday or UltiPro is a plus.
• Strong skills in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets management, and accounting systems integration for efficient data entry and reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards along with experience in account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet management, and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax preparation or compliance is desirable.
• Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment; experience with budgeting and credit analysis is advantageous.

Pay: $59,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
