About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with 2-4 years of experience in accounting and a strong understanding of journal entries and day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, be comfortable working with financial records, and have strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries accurately and on time.

Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain proper records.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Perform bank and account reconciliations.

Maintain and update ledgers and accounting records.

Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and schedules.

Verify invoices, receipts, expenses, and other financial documents.

Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and errors.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and systematically.

Support the senior accounting team with various accounting and finance-related tasks.

Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of journal entries and accounting principles.

Good understanding of debit and credit concepts.

Knowledge of general ledger and reconciliation processes.

Basic understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to work in the US shift (night shift).

Preferred Profile

2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.

B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.

Candidates with hands-on experience in journal posting, reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and bookkeeping will be preferred.
