Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Accountant to join our accounting practice on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years' experience in public practice or a similar accounting environment and be confident managing a range of accounting and taxation work for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• BAS and other compliance work
• Management accounts and general accounting tasks
• Client communication and assistance with day-to-day queries
• Working with clients across a range of industries

About you

• 2–3 years' accounting experience, preferably in public practice
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Xero, XPM & FYI Docs is preferred
• Relevant accounting qualifications or studies towards a qualification are desirable
