Post Card India is a creative agency that builds brand identities and delivers packaging, ad design, brochures, marketing collaterals and websites for our clients. As we grow, we need an accountant who can keep our finances accurate, compliant and easy to understand.

About the Role

We are looking for an Accountant with 1-2 years of experience to manage our day-to-day accounts, handle GST and TDS compliance, track all company income and expenses, and prepare regular financial reports for the co-founders. You should know what an accounts function needs to deliver and take ownership of it.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting and Bookkeeping

• Maintain daily books of accounts in Tally Prime, with accurate entries for receipts, payments, journals, sales and purchases.
• Track the company's incomings (client payments, receivables) and outgoings (vendor payments, salaries, software and operating expenses, reimbursements).
• Raise client invoices and follow up on pending payments.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor ledgers and client accounts regularly.
• Process vendor bills, expense claims and petty cash with proper documentation.

Taxation and Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns and reconcile with Sbooks.
• Calculate, deduct, deposit and file TDS returns on time, including Form 16/16A where applicable.
• Keep records ready for audits and coordinate with the CA/auditor.
• Stay updated on GST and TDS rule changes that affect the company.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly reports: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and expense summaries.
• Compare budget vs. actual spending and flag unusual or rising costs.
• Give the co-founders clear financial data for decisions and project costing.

Required Qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com or equivalent (CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus).
• 1-2 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, including vouchers, GST and TDS configuration, and report generation.
• Working knowledge of GST filing and TDS calculation and filing.
• Good understanding of expense tracking, bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare clear financial reports.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Tally certification.
• Basic knowledge of PF, ESI and professional tax.
• Experience in an agency, design, marketing or startup setting.
