Position: Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment records.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, and inventory-related transactions.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Monitor outstanding customer and supplier balances and follow up when required.
• Verify purchase invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, warehouse, and production teams for accounting-related matters.
• Support VAT-related accounting and documentation in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
• Assist the Finance Manager with audits and other financial requirements.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the bakery, food manufacturing, FMCG, or food industry.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• UAE experience in the food/bakery industry will be an advantage.
