Accountant

· Management and control of revolving and other funds, coordinate and follow up funding from Head Office

· Review of Division’s service billings & check from time to time the implementation of employed control measures & filing

· Follow up collections from clients

· Review and account service billing collections and submit collection report to Head Office periodically

· Review of payables incurred by Marine Division including its input/process in the computerized accounting system

· Assist in marketing of tug assistance service e.g. coordination, communication with the clients and preparation of quotation (to be approved by Division Head), etc.

· Assist in the disposal of scrap e.g. invitation of scrappers, facilitate bidding process, collection and remittance of proceeds

· Assist in the liquidation of suppliers and other employees’ advances

· Preparation of financial reports and tax filing compliance of affiliated companies

· Ensure compliance of all QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY and HEALTH standards, requirements and procedures (e.g. use of proper forms, Standard Operating Procedures, use of appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment, attend tool box meeting, observe waste segregation, submit to security procedures when required, etc.)

Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Accountancy or equivalent

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

· With 3 years previous experience in a similar role.

· Knowledgeable on accounting principles.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Good IT skills and knowledge of using Excel and accounting software.

· Good communication skills/telephone manner

· Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional planning and organizational skills.

· Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced and challenging environment.

· Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving within the department.

· Positive and flexible approach to work.
