Accountant

As one of the fastest growing industrial transportation companies serving the Gulf Coast, we’re seeking an Accountant to become a key member of our leadership team. This individual will work directly with ownership to oversee all financial operations, improve profitability, strengthen financial controls, and help guide the strategic growth of the company.

This position is designed for someone who wants more than a traditional accounting role. As Heart Break Industrial continues to grow, this role is expected to evolve for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Finance

• Monitor fleet profitability, customer profitability, job costing, and operating margins.
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for leadership.
• Evaluate pricing strategies and break-even costs to support business decisions.
• Improve billing, collections, and overall cash flow.
• Partner with operations and sales to drive profitable growth.

Compliance & Administration

• Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general accounting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with outside CPA firms, insurance providers, and financial institutions.
• Month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Transportation, trucking, logistics, industrial services, construction, or oil & gas experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with transportation management systems or TQ billing software is a plus.
