Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP, Payroll Accounting and Taxes. This role involves the full range of accounting duties for a business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
• Vendor payments and monthly reconciliations.
• Vendor / Purchase order research.
• Accounts Receivable and Order Setup.
• Collections (not high volume, we are a large order custom manufacturer).
• Write comprehensive financial reports for management review and decision-making.
• Fixed assets.
• Sales Tax reporting.
• Oversee company spend programs.
• Perform journal entries and reconciliations of job costing, payroll and other activities.
• Bank reconciliations and banking daily approvals.
• Other general business administration such as insurance, leases, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial areas.
• Assist CFO with monthly close and other financial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and other financial software tools.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management and report writing.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• New college graduates with a degree in accounting may be considered for exceptional candidates seeking a career progression path towards CPA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
