Accountant

1.0 DUTIES:

1.1 Regular Duties

1.1.1 Prepares adjusting and correcting entries of various accounts that have to be adjusted to reconcile with general ledger account balances.

1.1.2 Follows-up with various sections the monthly reports that have to be submitted to accounting on or before the set deadline date in order to achieve financial report deadline; clears all the general ledger accounts of whatever amount that has to be followed up or adjusted after reconciliation.

1.1.3 Sees to it that all financial records, including books of original entry, supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers are maintained.

1.2 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior. (Does not apply to top management.)

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS:

2.1 Education

2.1.1 Must possess a Bachelor’s/College degree in Accountancy.

2.1.2 Must be a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

2.1.3 Post graduate diploma or masters degree an advantage.

2.2 Work Experience/s:

2.2.1 At least four years working experience in a supervisory capacity.

2.3 Special Qualities/Skills Required:

2.3.1 Must be knowledgeable of the current accounting practices in the hospitality industry.

2.3.2 Must be proficient in communication skills.

2.3.3 Familiar well versed with the latest software for hotels like computer micros, Navision opera.

2.3.4 Must have a good leadership background.
