Accountant

Golden Shore Products Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business, including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, invoicing, financial reporting and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts and payments.

* Prepare and process customer invoices, purchase orders, quotes and related financial documentation.

* Manage accounts receivable, including recording, allocating and reconciling customer payments.

* Process accounts payable transactions and reconcile supplier accounts.

* Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software, including QuickBooks.

* Monitor and reconcile inventory records, stock movements and inventory balances.

* Assist with stocktakes and investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.

* Assist with the preparation of financial and management reports.

* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, costing and pricing analysis.

* Monitor outstanding accounts, payments and cash flow.

* Assist with payroll administration and maintain payroll-related records.

* Maintain accurate customer, supplier and financial records.

* Liaise with customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders regarding accounts, payments and financial matters.

* Provide financial information and analysis to management to support business decision-making.

* Assist with maintaining effective internal controls and accounting procedures.

* Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting requirements.

* Maintain confidentiality of financial and commercial information.

Skills and Experience Required

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

* Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience.

* Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.

* Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record keeping.

* Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or MYOB.

* Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation.

* Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Strong organisational and time-management skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to handle confidential financial and commercial information.
