About the role

REDSTARx is seeking an Accounting & Finance Officer / Accountant to manage financial operations for a fast-growing pharmaceutical distribution company. You will be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate accounting records, managing customer receivables and supplier payables, performing bank reconciliations, and providing reliable monthly financial reporting to support management decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate records of customer orders, Delivery Receipts, Sales Invoices, payment records, and outstanding balances
• Maintain an updated Accounts Receivable Aging Report showing fully paid clients, outstanding balances, collectible amounts, and overdue accounts
• Proactively notify management when customer accounts are due for collection
• Record every supplier Delivery Receipt and Sales Invoice, verify quantities and pricing, and match supplier invoices against purchase records
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable records and monitor due dates and outstanding supplier balances
• Regularly reconcile REDSTARx records against supplier Statements of Account and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all money entering and leaving company accounts, including customer payments, checks, bank transfers, and supplier payments
• Perform regular bank reconciliation to ensure accounting records match actual bank activity
• Record and properly categorize all company expenses with supporting documentation
• Prepare clear monthly financial reports showing total sales, cost of goods sold, gross profit, operating expenses, net profit, and financial position

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or related course
• Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Experience with Odoo or other accounting / ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable handling large volumes of invoices, Delivery Receipts, checks, and financial transactions
• Highly organized
• Honest and trustworthy
• Able to identify discrepancies instead of simply recording transactions
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company sales, profits, pricing, suppliers, clients, and financial information
