Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage project-specific financial data, track construction costs, process subcontractor billings, and ensure the accurate financial tracking of our civil engineering and construction projects.Key Responsibilities

• Project Cost Accounting: Track and allocate equipment, material, and labor costs to specific construction project codes.
• Progress Billings: Prepare and submit progressive billings, schedule of values, and owner payment applications (such as AIA billing formats).
• Subcontractor Management: Review and process subcontractor invoices, track lien waivers, and manage retainage tracking.
• Budget Tracking: Monitor project expenses against initial estimations, highlighting budget variances to Project Managers.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile project ledger accounts, equipment rentals, and field expenses on a regular monthly basis.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience specifically within the Civil Construction or Engineering industries.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and construction retention practices.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized construction ERP software (e.g., Sage 100/300 Construction, Viewpoint, Procore, or QuickBooks Contractor Edition).
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure all job cost records comply with construction-specific accounting standards and assist with year-end audits.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, sharp attention to project details, and the ability to collaborate effectively with field project managers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
