Job Title: Assistant and/or Practice Accountant – UK Accountancy Practice

Ashton Coopers is looking for a Practice Accountant with experience in UK accountancy practice to manage client accounting work, prepare accounts and tax returns, and communicate confidently with UK clients.

Working Hours

9:00 am–5:00 pm UK time:

* 1:00 pm–9:00 pm Pakistan time during UK summer time.

* 2:00 pm–10:00 pm Pakistan time during UK winter time.

Daily office attendance and availability for both seasonal schedules are required.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.

* Prepare corporation tax computations and returns, Self Assessment returns and VAT returns.

* Carry out bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and management accounts work.

* Review client records, identify discrepancies and resolve queries.

* Liaise with clients to obtain information and explain accounting queries clearly.

* Manage a portfolio of assignments and meet filing deadlines.

* Maintain accurate working papers and submit work for review.

* Support colleagues and management with accounting and practice administration.

Requirements

* Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

* Sound knowledge of UK accounts preparation and tax compliance.

* Fluent spoken and written English, with confidence communicating directly with clients.

* Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

* Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

* ACCA, ACA or an equivalent qualification, either part-qualified or qualified, is preferred. Candidates with strong relevant practical experience will also be considered.
